Darrell Isaacs, 70, of Loogootee, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Daviess Community Hospital.

Born December 30, 1952, in Christopher, Illinois, he was the son of Donald and Juanita (Barnfield) Isaacs.

Darrell was the Pastor of the Faith Holiness Church in Loogootee for over 20 years and worked at the family owned saw mill in Loogootee.

He married Theresa New on October 7, 1980 and she survives.

Darrell had a hobby farm that he enjoyed working on, enjoyed drag racing, and pastoring his church.

Surviving are his wife, Theresa; children, Stacey Isaacs, Jamie (Jared) Welker, Lisa (Greg) Overfield, and William Isaacs; grandchildren, Bryce Lane, Brandon Lane, Bethany (Dylan) Sturgeon, Emilia Welker and fiancé Antonio Bault, Isabella Welker, Hailey Overfield, and Wyatt Overfield; one great-grandson due in the next few weeks, Oliver Lee Sturgeon; siblings, Kathryn “Kay” Venters, Robert “Bob” (Selena) Isaacs, Jim (Sandy) Isaacs, Debbie Terry, Judy Isaacs, Tom (Rhonda) Isaacs, and Deanna (Carl) Porter; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Darrell in death are his parents; siblings in infancy; brothers-in-law, John Terry and Ed Venters; sister-in-law, Linda Nelson; and two nephews, Donald Venters, and David Nelson.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 6th at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care with Pastor Donnie Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in the Goodwill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Friday at the Queen-Lee Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Queen-Lee Chapel in lieu of flowers.
