Frances Beal, 70, of Shoals, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born June 16, 1952, in Evansville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Roy and Eva (Hill) Durham.

She married Joe Beal in 2004 and he survives.

Frances graduated from Shoals High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Shoals American Legion, Shoals VFW, and the Shoals Eagles Lodge.

Frances loved fishing with her sister, Joyce. They called them Thelma and Louise as they were always getting into something, they were very close.

Surviving are her husband Joe; children, David Hartley, Sherry Gibson, Jodi Jones, Michael (Micki) Burton, Casey Morgan, and Stacy Jo Adams; grandchildren, Nicholas India Arvin, Kestin Jones, Kirstin Jones, Holly Dresden, Kendra Hartley, Aisha Burton, Ally Burton, and Levi Burton; great-grandson, Brexton Rude; siblings, Carrie May, Connie Louise, Doris June, Joyce Ann, Lora Faye, Victoria Jean, and Norman Lee; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Hartley; twin granddaughter’s, Christina and Kayla Sherfick in infancy; and siblings, Patricia Ilene, Robert Estel, Edward Ray, John Sumner, and Roy Bart.

Funeral services will be at Noon on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care in Shoals. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral chapel.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Tom French, Nicholas Lett Arvin, and Melissa Carnahan for all the love and support through her last day with them and to her husband, friends, and neighbors for all the love and support.
