Two Arrested At Jasper Rural King For Drugs and Counterfeit Money

On January 21, 2023, at approximately 10:21 a.m., the Jasper Police Department was dispatched to Rural King in reference to two suspicious males inside the store. Upon speaking with the two male subjects, one, identified as Nathan Ambrose, was found to be intoxicated, and the second male, identified as Matthew Ambrose, was found to have an active warrant for arrest out of Vanderburgh County. After a search, Matthew Ambrose was found to have illegal drugs on his person, along with several counterfeit $100 bills. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and several other illegal drugs were located inside. Nathan Ambrose was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine or narcotic drugs, possession of methamphetamine, and counterfeiting and forgery. Matthew Ambrose was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and counterfeiting/forgery. Nathan and Matthew were both transported to and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
