A high-speed chase occurred on Thursday morning, March 16th, when Master Trooper Ryan Johnson tried to pull over the driver of a 2011 Chrysler minivan for driving at 107 mph on US 50 near Robinson Road. Master Trooper Gary Goodman was in the area and was able to deploy stop sticks on US 41 near St. Thomas Road. The driver of the minivan struck the stop sticks and came to a stop near Plank Road. However, the driver refused to exit the vehicle, and troopers had to break the passenger window to arrest him without further incident. The driver was identified as Chad Bond, a 50-year-old resident of Vincennes. He is currently being held on bond in the Knox County Jail and is facing charges of Resisting Law Enforcement with a vehicle and Reckless Driving.
