Carla Sue Reinhart-Williams, 74, of Loogootee, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Jasper Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Carla was born February 3, 1949, in Washington, Ind., to the late Donnis C. and Mae (Burton) Reinhart and Wilma M. (Wininger) Reinhart.

She retired from the Martin County Co-Op Credit Union in 2013 she served as Head Teller and Secretary.

She was a 1967 graduate of Loogootee High School. In her early years, she was a homemaker, child care provider, worked at Martin County Farm Bureau Co-Op and Loogootee Community Schools in the cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donnis C. and Mae (Burton) Reinhart and Wilma M. (Wininger) Reinhart; aunt, Ruth “Maxine” Reinhart; father and mother-in-laws, Vincent J. and Dorothy A. Williams; brother, James Lester; infant sister, Judy; sister, Roberta A. (Bobbie) Cherry and infant grandson, Thomas J. Williams III.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thomas J. Williams; sons, Thomas J. “T.J.” Williams II, (Heather) of Pensacola, Fla., Clint M. Williams, (Amy), Alan J. Williams, Adam W. Williams, all of Loogootee; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Donnie Reinhart (MaryAnn), sister, Debbie Parsons (Gene) and brother, Gary McCord (Judith Ann).

She was a member of Loogootee Methodist Church, Choir, Hanging of the Greens and Methodist Women. She directed and played the organ for the St. John Catholic Church Children’s Choir. She also sang with the Marco and Joyful Hearts Singers. She also participated in the Walk to Emmaus. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, singing, playing piano, meeting up with her McDonald’s cronies and being a member of the American Sewing Guild.

A funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, in the Loogootee Methodist Church, 208 W. Main St., Loogootee, 47553, officiated by Pastor Colleen Harden. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time on Saturday at the church.
