Howard C. Adams, 92, passed away at 4:04 pm on March 20, 2023, at The Villages at Oakridge in Washington, IN. Howard was born on February 27, 1931, in Washington, IN and he is the son of Carl and Julia (Bateman) Adams. Howard married Geneva Ruth Turnipseed an August 20, 1965, and she preceded him in death on March 17, 2013.

 

Howard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Franklin Heights Christian Church for many years. He worked for McCord Corporation and retired from Good Samaritan Hospital as Head of Facilities. Howard was a member of the American Legion and he loved to travel with his wife Geneva. They visited many U.S. cities and enjoyed several cruises and vineyard tours.

 

Howard is survived by his daughter, Diana Fisher; son, Tim Adams; son-in-law, Rick Showalter; brother, Forest Adams; his grandchildren, Brock Adams and his wife Jessica, Jennifer Wagar and her husband Robert, Lindsay Potter and her husband Bryan, Mina Adams, Alexi Adams, Peter Adams and his wife Jada, Nikolai Adams; his great grandchildren, Aiden and Emma Adams, Boone Potter, and RJ Wagar; brother-in-law, Gene Lackey; and several nieces and nephews. Howard is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Julia Adams, his wife, Geneva Ruth Adams and his son, Howard (Steve) Adams

 

Friends may visit with Howard’s family from 4-7 pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. Howard’s funeral service will begin at 10:00 am on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. Howard will be laid to rest next to his wife Geneva in Memorial Park Cemetery and the All-Weather Firing Squad will conduct military rites. Howard’s family would like to give a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for all of their care they provided.
