James “Jim” D. Beaman, 85, of Wheatland, IN passed away March 21, 2023. He was born in Wheatland, IN on August 31, 1937, to the late Lowell E. and Mildred M. (Helderman) Beaman. James was a graduate of the class of 1957 from Wheatland High School. He married, the love of his life, Joy Williams on July 31, 1957. James worked his first 11years of marriage at Vincennes Steel before starting his own dairy farm that he proudly had for 52 years before passing it on to his son. James also drove a school bus for South Knox School Corp. for 8 years. He was a member of the Knox County Coon Hunter Club as well as a 50 year Grand Mason of Masonic Lodge 548 in Monroe City.
In James free time he enjoyed watching and listening to basketball, riding his Kubota, coon hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, farming, and spending time with his beloved family. He was a true family man who will be so deeply missed.
James was preceded in death by his parent; siblings Norma (Lloyd) Lennon, Robert Beaman, Thelma (Vic) Pearce; infant sister Nancy Jo Beaman; infant son Jeffery A. Beaman; great-grandson Eli Newberry.
He is survived by his wife, of 65 years, Joy Beaman; children Donna (Jeff) Worland, James A. (Kimberly) Beaman, Jeff (Terry) Beaman; grandchildren Miranda (Jeremy) Newberry, Jeffrey “BJ” (Stacey) Worland, Ashley (Luke) Blubaum, Lucas (Kaylee Wells) Worland, Jacob (Misty) Beaman, Jessica (Mitch) Meeks, Caleb (Emily Roberts) Beaman, Blake (Erin) Beaman, Jennifer (Nathan) Byrd; great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Allie Newberry, Cole Worland, Taylor and Ellie Blubaum, Bryar Brown, Trace Spurgion, Brigston Baum, Katie Smith, Jameson and Conner Meeks, Jeffrey and Raelee Beaman, Mason Byrd and future baby Byrd; sister-in-law Shirley Beaman; and many nieces and nephews.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Beaman. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 524 Broadway St. from 1-3pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 3pm.
