Marvin Jerrell Fair, 87, of Petersburg, IN passed away March 21, 2023 at his home. He was born February 24, 1936 to Lester and Violet Fair in Petersburg, IN. Marvin was affectionately known as “Bud” to his family and “Marvie” to his racing buddies. He spent most weekends at local race tracks with his racing buddies. Tri-State Speedway was his favorite. He enjoyed NASCAR and was one of the craziest Jeff Gordon fans! Recently becoming an avid fan of the Indiana Pacers and IU basketball. He married his wife, Oneida Fair, on November 18, 1960. He retired from Klipsch Motors in 1998.

Marvin took pride in his vehicles, house, and yard. He loved his siblings and visiting with them. He visited with all of them until he could no longer drive. He found the most enjoyment when his grandchildren and great grandchildren came and made him laugh.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Oneida Fair; daughter, Theresa (Ray) Montgomery; son, Jerald (Cindy) Fair; grandchildren, Emily (Aaron) Harrison, Celia (Aubrey) Stamps, Zachary (Lindsey) Fair, Mackenzie (Dalton) Jones, Sydney (Gage) Fiscus, and Dawson Fair; 10 great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Rosalee Mize, Kenny (Patty) Fair, June (Gerald) Loveless, Donnie (Carol) Fair, Marilyn (Tom) Thorne, and Phil (Denise) Fair. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Violet Fair and his brother, Mike Fair.

Graveside services for Marvin will take place at 1 PM EST on Sunday, March 26, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
