Maude Bel Fiscus, 94 of Washington, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Legends Village Assisted Living. Maudie was born on May 18, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Ellen (Lents) Purdue and raised by the late William and Bessie (Lents) Boyd. She married Junior Lee Potts on March 20, 1948, and her second husband, Clyde O. Fiscus on August 12, 1963.

Maudie was a member of Central Christian Church. She was a women of faith and loved her God and Savior. She adored and spoiled her grandchildren. Maudie took pride in working as a waitress in downtown Washington at Hillies Steak House. In her spare time, she loved to go fishing with Clyde on Barkley Lake, Kentucky.

Maudie is survived by her son Tony (Paula) Potts; stepson,David A. Fiscus; grandchildren, Jonathan T. Potts, Patrick (Emily) Potts, Mike (Amy) Jones, Chris (Kelsie) McCormick, Jeff (Dana) Fiscus, Vince Fiscus, Vance (Lisa) Fiscus and 16 greatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents,
husbands, and daughter, Lynn Ann (Potts) Faith; step daughter, Sherry Lynn (Fiscus Brewster; step daughter in law Lynn(Hawkins) Fiscus; step grand daughter, Kristie Carol Brewster. Brothers and Sisters; Samuel (Esther) Purdue, Rufus “Jack” (Mary) Purdue, Alvin (Eleanor) Purdue, Johnny Purdue, Fred Purdue, Bert Purdue, Josephine (Marvin) Gates, Rosemary Morgan, and Phyllis (Homer) Brock.

Visitation for Maudie will be held Saturday, April 01, 2023, from11:00 am to 1:00 pm E.T. The service will start promptly at 1:00pm E.T. following the visitation. Pastor Byron Holtsclaw will be the officiant. Per Maudie’s request burial will be private at Worthington Indiana Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family ask for contributions to be made to our local Daviess County Historical Society, 212 E. Main Street, Washington, Indiana 47501. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Maudie.
