A new event comes to downtown Washington this weekend. The first annual Spring Fest will be Saturday at the Core Center Parking Lot and the Pocket Park on Main Street. A variety of vendors and non-profits will be set up, and the event will include a big bake-off sponsored by the YMCA Youth Council with prize money for your best baked good recipe. The fire department will be there, and the CEO Class will have some of their class projects on display. There will be a take a toy or leave a toy booth with Little Warrior Wishes, and Comforting Hearts will have details on their new all-inclusive playground coming this summer. It’s going to be a fun day Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Spring Fest in Downtown Washington. Tune in for updates on Memories 107.9 FM.
