Washington Mayor Dave Rhoads delivered his annual State of the City Address at last night’s City Council meeting. The mayor highlighted annual reports from each department head and gave updates on the city’s progress this past year, from the Commons Project on Main Street to Business 50 to new housing. On Business 50, the mayor said they rebid phase three of the project after bids came in too high, and INDOT added $6 million to the project. The 23-million-dollar phase three is now on track and ready to roll.
As for housing, the mayor says nearly 300 new homes and apartments have been added in 2023…
