Odon, Indiana – Our Community Foundation has recently granted $1,000 to aid the Odon VFW Post #9627 Multi-Sport Pavilion Project. The initiative aims to repurpose existing space at the Odon VFW Post into a 2000-square-foot multi-use area for community use. Once completed, the facility will host various sports events, including basketball and pickleball, as well as concerts and other community gatherings. The project will provide access to sports equipment on-site. To secure a matching grant, the project must raise $21,750 by April 23. The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) will contribute $21,750 through their CreatINg Places program if the goal is met.  Last year, the Foundation supported another IHCDA CreatINg Places project in Washington, which led to the creation of Rotary Park.
