On Monday, the body of a male was discovered in the Ohio River near the Newburgh Lock and Dam. Multiple agencies responded and recovered the body, later identified as Justin R. MacDonald. An autopsy conducted at the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday, October 8, confirmed his identity. The death was ruled an accidental drowning, with no signs of foul play or trauma. MacDonald had been missing since September 29, after last being seen near French Island Marina in Spencer County. His family has been notified.
