The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has announced upcoming Free Fishing Days for residents to enjoy fishing without a license. Mark your calendars for June 7–8 and September 27, when Hoosiers can fish public waters without needing a fishing license or trout/salmon stamp. While licenses are waived on these special days, all standard regulations, including size and bag limits, remain in effect. Officials encourage experienced anglers to use the opportunity to introduce friends and family to fishing and share the excitement of casting a line on Indiana’s lakes and rivers.
