The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation’s 10th Annual Kentucky Derby Gala raised over $20,000 on May 3 to support its Health Careers Scholarship Program. Held at Ed Lee Chapel, the event welcomed more than 100 guests for an evening of Derby-themed fun, including live race viewing, dinner, auctions, and prizes for best attire. The scholarship program has awarded over $250,000 to 221 local students pursuing medical and allied health careers. Guest speaker Alicia Fields, DNP, a past scholarship recipient and current Foundation Board President, highlighted the impact of community support on healthcare’s future. All proceeds will benefit students preparing for careers in healthcare.
