The Vincennes Animal Shelter held a ribbon cutting on Friday to officially celebrate its long-awaited expansion. The upgraded facility—already in use for several weeks—features a larger exam room, a meet-and-greet space, an all-purpose room, and expanded offices. Director Leah Reagan credited a decade of fundraising and community support for making the project possible. She highlighted the new exam room as a major improvement, now equipped with running water, outdoor access, and enough space to examine multiple animals at once. The shelter invites the public to continue supporting its mission through donations, volunteering, or visiting to spend time with adoptable pets.
