The Daviess County Commissioners held a shorter than normal meeting Monday morning. Commissioner Nathan Gabhart reported that work on the courthouse renovation is proceeding on track for a June 29 office transition back into the courthouse. The commissioners also heard a report from Daviess County Prosecutor Abby Brown on the transition of Adult Protective Services to a new vendor. The commissioners also approved a request to approve a contract for the maintenance and repair of the county’s Central Dispatch 911 system. The final item of business was the approval of a request from the Daviess County Airport to apply for a grant for funds from the Federal Aviation Administration’s 026 Grant to help with construction of the new taxiway and a landside access road at the airport. The next commissioners meeting is scheduled for 8:15 am on June 24.
