The dual-purpose police dog worked alongside her handler, Officer Byrd, contributing to patrol and drug detection efforts across the community. After retiring, Ester lived with Officer Byrd and his family. The department credits her with playing a key role in public safety and drug enforcement over her nearly seven-year career.
