The Town of Elnora will host a food giveaway on Monday, June 30, at the Elnora Fire Department. Sponsored by Tri-State Food Pantry, the event is limited to Elnora residents, with only 150 food boxes available. Participants must sign in with their name and Elnora address. Town officials also announced the addition of two part-time officers, Marshal Caleb Lankford and Deputy Marshal Jake Sims. In the coming weeks, they will begin tagging abandoned or unlicensed vehicles. The Daviess County K-9 unit will also increase patrols to address loose dogs. Residents can now livestream town board meetings on the Town of Elnora Facebook page. Utility payments must be made online at www.govcard.org/town-of-elnora, with account numbers and statements required. Phone and in-office payments are no longer accepted.
