Emergency crews responded early Sunday morning to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of S State Road 257 and S 125 E in Washington. The call came in at approximately 4:14 a.m. on June 15. Responding officers found that a vehicle had struck a utility pole, causing airbag deployment. No one was trapped, and one person was transported for evaluation. A portable breath test registered a BAC of 0.15. The collision disrupted power in the area and knocked out traffic signals at SR 257 and Highway 50. Crews shut down both lanes of SR 257 while line repairs were underway. Authorities confirmed that the damaged line was for cable TV service.
