A vacancy has opened on the Decker Town Board following the passing of board member Tom Culp, according to Knox County Clerk David Shelton. Republicans interested in filling the remainder of the term, which runs through December 31, 2027, may submit a letter of interest. Applicants must be registered Republican voters in Decker for at least one year. Letters should be sent to Knox County GOP Chairman David Shelton at dshelton.knox.gop@gmail.com and must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17. The appointment will be made by Shelton at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20.
