Erin Leigh Baker, age 40, of Odon, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully, in her home, surrounded by her family. Erin was born in Jasper, Indiana, to Tim and Jayne (Giesler) Baker on September 26, 1984.
Erin was a 2003 graduate of North Daviess High School. After high school, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 28 years. Erin spent her last six years at Ketcham Memorial Center where she cherished the residents she cared for, especially in the Gardens. She enjoyed spending time with her children and watching them play sports.
Family left to cherish memories of Erin include her parents, Tim and Jayne Baker; her beloved children, Maddox Baker and Alivia Dhahir; her sisters, Mallory (Jeff) Lamson and Marisa (Ryan) Smith; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Erin is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Linda and Carl ‘Junie’ Giesler, and paternal grandparents, Ruth Ann (Bob) Hubble, and James (Dick) Baker.
A memorial service will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 17, at the Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Rick Tribby officiating. Erin will be laid to rest in Raglesville Cemetery at a later date.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 17 at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Frank Roberts Youth League (FRYL) renovation efforts. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
