
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Monroe City man after discovering marijuana plants, THC edibles, and multiple firearms, including a “ghost gun”, at his residence on Sunday, July 6. Deputies served a search warrant at 11331 E Lucky Point Road around 5 p.m. following multiple tips about possible marijuana cultivation. During the search, authorities also located smoking devices and processed marijuana. Kenneth Baize, 58, was taken into custody and faces several charges, including possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon (Level 4 felony), possession of a controlled substance and a legend drug (both Level 6 felonies), and possession of marijuana (Class B misdemeanor). Baize remains in the Knox County Jail on a $15,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
