The Pike County Council unanimously approved year-one funding for RISE Peer Recovery during its July 8 meeting. The funding, which comes from Opioid Settlement Relief funds, supports the organization’s first year of operations in the county. The council also ratified a Memorandum of Understanding between Pike County and RISE, marking a major step in local substance abuse reform efforts. Prosecutor’s Office officials thanked the council, with special recognition given to Council President Jon Craig and Councilmen Randy Harris and Jeff Harting for their leadership and collaboration leading up to the vote.
