The Vincennes Township Fire Department responded to a train fire near Old Terre Haute Road and Lower Fort Knox Road around 12:40 p.m. Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the locomotive. Due to high-voltage components, crews used multiple fire extinguishers to bring the fire under control by 12:54 p.m. Crews remained on scene for about an hour for overhaul operations. Vincennes City Fire Department assisted at the scene. No injuries were reported.
