The weather tops our news today as we prepare for some very hot weather the next couple of days. Meteorologist Jesse Walker says it is the humidity that will be bringing those uncomfortable temperatures starting tomorrow….
A heat advisory goes into effect tomorrow afternoon from 2 to 8pm. Heat index values could reach 107 degrees in some areas, which could lead to heat illness. Officials urge residents to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
