Timothy R. Miller, 71, of Bicknell, Indiana, died July 18, 2025. Born on December 18, 1953, to parents Robert (Bob) Miller and Betty Miller of Bicknell. Tim lived a life of service, faith, and dedication to his family and community.
A graduate of North Knox High School in 1971, Tim furthered his education at ITT Technical Institute, earning a degree in 1973 and several technical certifications in electronics and technology thereafter. On August 18, 1973, he married his beloved wife, Tonya (Pieper) Miller, beginning a partnership that spanned over five decades.
Tim’s career was marked by his commitment to helping others. He served as an EMT working with Emergency Medical Services and McClure Funeral Home for several years and dedicated 46 years to Good Samaritan Hospital. Beyond healthcare, Tim was an IT consultant, a vital contributor to Pieper’s Carpet Operations, and continued to work as a maintenance technician at Country Oaks Golf Club. His diverse skills also supported his community through numerous roles throughout the Community, most recently serving as an active member of the Bicknell City Council, as well as prior roles on the 4H Council Board, Bicknell Swim Land Board, and Bethel Church Preschool Board.
A man of deep faith, Tim was confirmed at Bethel Church in Freelandville, where he served as both deacon and council president. Tim is survived by his parents, Bob & Betty Miller, siblings Lisa Miller (Wally Polk), Terry (Kim) Miller, his wife, Tonya Miller, their children Tanaya (Heath) Titzer and Trey (Bradlea) Miller and three grandchildren Thea Titzer (15), Paxton Miller (5) and Pieper Miller (5 months). His legacy of service, kindness, integrity, knowledge and community involvement will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A memorial graveside service will be held at Bethel Church Cemetery 13673 E. State Road 58, Edwardsport, IN 47528 at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, with visitation from 10:30 until the time of service.
