A heat advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. Tuesday for the WAMW listening area and most of Indiana. Peak heat indexes are expected to be at or exceed 105 degrees this afternoon and Tuesday. With overnight temperatures remaining in the mid 70s both days. The very hot temperatures and high humidity readings may cause heat related illness. The National Weather Service in Indianapolis reminds everyone to drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, remain in air-conditioned spaces, and check on relatives and neighbors. Again, the heat advisory remains in effect through 8 pm tomorrow.
