IU Health’s mobile lung screening unit will be in Martin County on Monday, August 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Redemption Christian Church parking lot. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 317-962-5864 or emailing lungscreening@iuhealth.org. The unit offers quick, non-invasive low-dose CT scans to detect early signs of lung cancer. Screenings are covered by insurance, and eligible uninsured individuals may receive the service at no cost. To qualify, participants must be ages 50–77 with a 20-pack-year smoking history and be a current smoker or have quit within the last 15 years.
