Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on South State Road 257, just south of Washington. The crash was reported around 7:52 a.m., with multiple police units and medical personnel dispatched to the scene. While the initial report described the collision as a personal injury accident, it was later confirmed that no injuries occurred. Two vehicles were towed from the area by Briggeman’s and Countryside. Witnesses told dispatchers that a Dodge Caravan was reportedly brake-checking other vehicles and driving erratically before the crash occurred. That vehicle continued northbound on SR 257 and was not at the scene when authorities arrived. The incident remains under investigation by local law enforcement.
