The 3rd Annual Mathias Famous Chicken Dinner, prepared by John and Mitch Mathias, is set for Saturday, August 9, at the Loogootee VFW Post 9395. The event runs from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (or until sold out) and will benefit Martin County Cancer Patient Services (MCCPS). Meals are available for dine-in at the VFW dining room or carry-out. For $20, guests will enjoy a two-piece chicken dinner with baked beans, potato salad, and a roll. Proceeds will support local cancer patients. Organizers say it’s a great way to give back while enjoying a meal.
