Daniel Lee Johnson, 38, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on August 28, 2025.
He was born on January 14, 1987, to Jeffrey & Karen (Kotter) Johnson in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Daniel was a 2006 graduate of South Knox High School. He worked at Duke Energy Edwardsport as Base Crew Foreman for Performance Contractors, and greatly enjoyed time spent with his co-workers, in and outside of work.
In his free time, Daniel loved to golf, camp, fish, mow grass, kayak, boat, and anything that had to do with the water. He was constantly joking and teasing and knew how to make all of those around him laugh. Daniel enjoyed going to concerts, particularly with his sister-in-law Laura. He loved the history of Viking and medieval times and had a strong passion for making his own Celtic Chainmail suits, which he was incredibly gifted at. Most of all, Daniel loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors of Daniel include his parents, Jeffery & Karen Johnson of Decker, IN; his siblings, Benjamin Johnson and his wife Megan of Vincennes, IN, Julie Harvey and her husband Adam of Decker, IN, Eric (Bob) Johnson and his wife Amanda of Vincennes, IN, and Scott Johnson and his wife Laura of Decker, IN; the love of his life, Caitlin Glass-Johnson of Vincennes, IN; his special nieces and nephews, Levi, Alli, Olivia, Jack, Chase, Elaina, Aliza, and his soon to be baby niece; and his best friend, Jimmy Lowe.
He was preceded in death by his paternal “mamma”, Alice Johnson; his maternal grandma, Ann Kotter; and his nephew, Aden Livingston.
Visitation for Daniel will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 10:00am-2:00pm eastern time, at Calvary Apostolic Church 13583 Bus US-50 Lawrenceville IL 62439. A funeral service will follow at the conclusion of visitation starting immediately at 2:00pm ET with Pastor Jason Donaldson officiating at the church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, IN.
