A Jasper couple has claimed the 2025 Strassenfest Half Pot Prize, taking home $77,900 after presenting the winning ticket to the Jasper Chamber of Commerce. The couple, who chose to remain anonymous, said they have purchased tickets every year since the event began and were glad to see the proceeds benefit local students and the community. This year’s half pot reached a record $155,800, with a portion of the funds going to the Vincennes University Jasper Scholastic Excellence Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition assistance, laptops, and book stipends to local students. Proceeds will also support future Strassenfest events and community programs. The couple shared they don’t yet have specific plans for the prize but hope to give back to the community while also treating themselves. A formal check presentation to the scholarship fund will take place later.
