CHA Consulting announced Tuesday it has acquired Midwestern Engineers, Inc., a southern Indiana engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, stormwater, and survey services. Midwestern, headquartered in Loogootee with additional offices in Indianapolis and Santa Claus, brings a staff of 45 technical experts to CHA. The Albany, N.Y.-based company already employs about 100 people in its Indianapolis and Evansville offices, where it provides engineering and environmental services in water, wastewater, transportation, and aviation. CHA leaders said the acquisition strengthens their water resources expertise across Indiana and builds on the firm’s national infrastructure strategy. Midwestern executives noted the move will allow them to continue their six-decade mission of improving local infrastructure with expanded resources and stability. Effective immediately, the company will operate as Midwestern Engineers Inc., A CHA Company. This marks CHA’s second acquisition in 2025, bringing its workforce to more than 2,000 employees across 55 offices in the U.S. and Canada.
