The Vincennes Animal Shelter is asking for community support after taking in 10 dogs from a hoarding case in Gibson County. Fourteen dogs were surrendered in total, with the shelter accepting as many as it could despite already being at full capacity. Shelter officials say all of the dogs are in extremely poor health and require urgent medical care. The unexpected intake has put a heavy strain on resources, and donations of money, supplies, or other assistance are needed. While the animals have faced severe neglect, staff say they are now safe and finally have the chance at a better life.
