Indiana State Police are investigating a shooting near Shelburn that left two people dead early Monday morning.
Deputies responded to a 911 call around 4 a.m. and, after receiving no response at the residence, entered to find 81-year-old Keith Sheffler with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and 75-year-old Judy Sheffler deceased.
Authorities say the case remains under active investigation.
