Emergency crews responded to two crashes Monday afternoon along I-69 in Daviess County. Around 1:30 p.m., first responders were called to the southbound lanes near mile marker 74.5 by Odon, where a small four-door car went off the road into a ditch. The driver, who had a language barrier, was checked at the scene. No major injuries were reported, though the vehicle required a wrecker. Deputies cited the driver for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Later, at 2:30 p.m., another crash occurred near mile marker 59 north of Washington. A silver BMW slid off the roadway about 20 feet into a ditch, leaving its windshield busted. The driver was not hurt, and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Both incidents were cleared by late afternoon.
