Knox County now has four candidates tossing their hat in the ring to be the next Sheriff.

Paul Jones, a captain with the department, announced his intentions to run this week.

Jones joins fellow Republican candidates Major Mike Fisher, Deputy Dan Short, and Chief Deputy John Fuller, who have already announced their campaigns.

Current Sheriff Doug Vantlin is unable to run again due to term limits and will retire at the end of next year.
