Perdue Farms is inviting the community to take part in a food drive this Saturday, Sept. 27, at The Commons, 301 E. Main St., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations of unexpired, non-perishable food items will be accepted, with all contributions going to the local Feed My Sheep program. As part of the event, Perdue will serve free walking tacos to participants. The effort is part of Hunger Action Month in partnership with Feeding America. Organizers encourage residents to join in supporting neighbors in need.
