Friday night’s South Spencer vs. North Central football game was cut short in the third quarter after South Spencer player JaQuar Johnson was injured during a play and briefly lost consciousness. Johnson’s father, Dustin Sarver, said in a Facebook post that his son’s CT and MRI scans came back clear and that Johnson “is going to be okay.” Sarver thanked both teams’ coaches, trainers, and medical staff for their quick response and expressed gratitude to the North Central community for their support. The game was stopped immediately following the incident as medical personnel from both sides attended to Johnson on the field.
