Our Community Foundation is preparing for Giving Tuesday Daviess County, a 24-hour online fundraising event set for Tuesday, December 2. The annual effort encourages residents to give back to local nonprofits during the holiday season. Donations can be made through the Foundation’s website, localforever.org, at no cost to participating organizations. Several local charities have already joined, and more are invited to sign up by October 31. Executive Director Chris Jarrett says the goal is to increase community participation and support for causes that make a difference locally. Media partners Shake Broadcasting, The Washington Times-Herald, and The Odon Journal will again recognize top-performing organizations in donor categories. Giving Tuesday Daviess County begins at midnight on December 2 and runs for 24 hours.
