Emergency crews responded around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to an overturned semi on westbound U.S. 50. The Lawrence Allison Fire Association arrived to find the driver trapped inside and quickly began rescue efforts. The highway was shut down for several hours while crews worked to free the driver and remove the semi. All lanes reopened around 8:30 a.m. after the scene was cleared.
