After more than two decades of serving the Ireland community, the owners of the world-famous Chicken Place have announced plans to step away from the business. In a statement, owners shared that after 21½ years, they’ve decided it’s time for “another entrepreneur to take the reins” as they pursue new opportunities. The beloved restaurant and bar, which has operated since 1948, has had only four owners in its 77-year history. “We don’t leave sad, we leave feeling accomplished and grateful,” the couple said. The Chicken Place will continue normal operating hours as the search begins for its fifth owner, who will carry on the legacy of this Ireland landmark.
