The Indiana Theater in Washington is entering a new chapter under owner Russ Jordan, who officially took over earlier this month. Jordan says the community’s support has been “amazing,” and in response, the theater is expanding its schedule to include Tuesdays and Thursdays in addition to its Friday thru Sunday lineup. Tuesdays will feature discount pricing with $4 movie tickets and reduced concession prices, while Thursdays will allow the theater to premiere new movie releases as they hit theaters nationwide. Jordan also announced several special events this weekend, including a free late-night scary movie at 10:30 p.m. Friday and a Halloween giveaway booth at the park’s trick-or-treat event. The theater will serve concessions there and at a free outdoor movie night at the Commons. Looking ahead, the Indiana Theater will celebrate its 100th anniversary in October 2026 with major events planned throughout the year. Jordan says he hopes to continue growing the theater’s role as a community hub for movies, comedy shows, concerts, and private events. Movie schedules and announcements are available on the Indiana Theater’s Facebook page.
