
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office responded to a property damage accident involving a tractor-trailer Wednesday afternoon near County Roads 100 West and 225 North. Deputies arrived around 4:30 p.m. to find the semi had gone off the roadway, destroying a guardrail and knocking down a stop sign. The truck, which was hauling a fully loaded trailer, also sustained two flat tires. Dave’s Wrecker Service from Knox County was called to the scene to remove the vehicle, and County Highway crews were notified of the damage. The roadway was temporarily closed while deputies cleared the scene. No injuries were reported, and a state accident report will be filed. The incident remains under investigation by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
