Michael Joseph Smith, 73, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away on Saturday November 1, 2025, at his home. His is survived by his son, Shawn (Debbie) Smith; grandchildren: Noah, Addison, and Jackson Smith.
He was born on July 7, 1952, in Washington, Indiana to James R. Smith Sr. and Betty (Huey) Smith.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ellen Smith; brothers: James R. Smith Jr. and Jeffrey A. Smith.
Surviving siblings: Mary Jane Edmiston and Mark D. (Kathy Havill-Smith).
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 5, 2025, at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana, with the Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker to officiate. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Wednesday November 5, 2025, from 9:00 A.M until the time of service at 11:00 A.M at the funeral home.
