Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident Monday evening at the intersection of State Road 58 and County Road 800 East after reports of one vehicle overturned in a ditch and possible entrapment. The crash was reported around 5:30 p.m., with Odon Volunteer Fire Department, Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies, and EMS all responding. One person was transported non-emergency to Daviess Community Hospital for evaluation. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Wagler’s Wrecker Service.
Authorities say the crash was one of several slide-offs and accidents across Daviess County Monday caused by icy road conditions. Drivers are reminded to slow down and allow extra travel time when winter weather strikes.
