Construction is moving forward at Oak Street Village in Loogootee, and developers are notifying nearby residents about what to expect in the coming weeks. JBH Ventures President & CEO Joe White says crews are working to minimize disruptions to the surrounding neighborhood. Recent efforts have included clearing dust and stone from Oak Street with leaf blowers and routing construction vehicles away from smaller residential roads whenever possible. Beginning December 1, weather permitting, crews will start driving stone into the ground to reinforce the site for future buildings. White says the process will create a steady pounding noise, but work will be limited to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The phase is expected to last about 15 business days. White emphasized that the team will continue communicating with residents and working to limit inconveniences. He encouraged anyone with concerns to reach out as the project progresses.
