A new professional development opportunity is coming to Loogootee next month as the Martin County Alliance for Economic Growth hosts a half-day workshop designed to help employers strengthen their hiring and team-building practices. The event, Hiring for Purpose, Build for Growth, will be held Monday, December 1, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Bowling Manufacturing Building in Loogootee. The cost is $40 per participant, and only 16 seats are available. The workshop will be led by Brent Rasche, a certified business and executive coach with Focal Point. Attendees will learn how purpose-driven hiring, clear core values, and intentional employee development can lead to stronger teams.
Topics will include:
- Understanding why hiring for purpose matters
- Defining mission, values, and people profiles
- Writing better job descriptions
- Embedding organizational values throughout the employee experience
- Action planning to improve retention and make new hires last
Businesses interested in attending are encouraged to reserve a seat soon, as space is limited.
