Emergency crews responded Tuesday afternoon to a personal-injury crash on U.S. Highway 231 north of Odon, after a vehicle slid off the road and struck a pile of material before colliding with an SUV. The accident was reported just before 3:30 p.m. Callers initially reported no injuries, but dispatch later reported one occupant complained of pain. Multiple units responded, and the highway was temporarily shut down while crews worked the scene. Two vehicles were involved. Tow trucks from Big John’s and Countryside were requested, and one responding deputy noted a preliminary breath test reading of 0.23 for one driver. One person was transported to Daviess Community Hospital for evaluation. The investigation is ongoing, and one individual was taken into custody.
